Sweetstory Media is a travel-ready full-service video production company based in the NY Tri-State area serving businesses, brands, educators, and non-profit organizations.
First and foremost, we are artists who communicate feelings of hopefulness and optimism for the future. Not very many media outlets do that these days.
Celebrated for our visceral, instinctive, and artistic style, we reject the cookie-cutter corporate aesthetic to create visuals that are raw, authentic, and evocative—spanning live events, music, CPG, education, manufacturing, recipe & instructional videos, ads, and story-driven short-form documentaries.
Stories We Tell
The Sweetstory Process
1. Identify Your Intention
What is your objective?
Who are you speaking to?
Where will the film live?
These questions will help identify the tone and length of the final product(s).
Our client, Blanco y Negro had a need for a sizzle reel on their brand new website along with multiple short-form videos that educated their prospective clients on their offerings.
2. Make the Most Out of Our Time Together
The month leading up to production day, we will work with your team to determine location, crew size, shoot schedule, and other details to capture footage required for our video.
We stayed at Blanco y Negro for two full days and filmed content for multiple videos, portraits and stills of their team in action intended for use on their website. These are all photos from their beautiful location in Turrialba, Costa Rica.
3. The Footages are Reimagined
Sweetstory Media will reflect back on your intentions and create however many variations of videos as requested in the formats you need!
Wendy Talio, Founder
Living Artist Society
I hired Sweetstory Media to document two events inaugurating a new project Living Artist Society has embarked upon this past year. The filming involved two challenging venues - a large, historical theatre and small golf club hall. The program itself was complex including an emcee, several speakers, an opera singer, and a piano quintet.
Annie went way beyond just capturing the moment with great video footage. She took the time to understand the purpose of the event and its potential impact on the audience. She worked with us as part of our team to make sure the final product conveyed our mission. This was our organization's first event ever with many external challenges. Annie's was able to creatively problem solve in the moment and was a 'rock' in aiding the team through some nerve-wracking moments. I look forward to working with Sweetstory Media as long term partner putting our mission out there.
About the Storyteller
Since I was a child, the camera has been an extension of me. To support myself after I graduated with a B.A. in Film & Electronic Arts from Cal State University, Long Beach, I worked in a chocolate shop in Lower East Side, Manhattan as chocolatier and visual artist. When I left, I started a CPG (consumer packaged goods) company called Sweetduet Chocolate, which brought me back to my visual storytelling roots for the need of marketing materials. Through networking within this industry, I learned that my skill with the camera is a growing need for every storyteller.
Annie is engaged, curious, compassionate and an extremely hard-worker. She put in the hours to make sure every detail was captured beautifully. Turnaround time on the projects was on-time or early and she's a blast to work with.
Thank you Annie!

Annie not only gave us beautiful content (in so many different formats, all social media-ready!), she totally captured our spirit and soul. She's a pleasure to work with and overdelivered on what she promised. We'll work with her again without question!

As a founder herself, Annie understands the power of storytelling to brand-build. I could not recommend Annie more highly for creative projects, particularly photo and video-based work. She is organized, time-sensitive, and a joy to work with!
